"double the rare drops.. double the crappy useless gold items!"

just cause they doubled the drop rate.. doesnt mean they increased the chances of getting that 15^50 whatchyamacallit

its just another money sink created by anet to make the economy "work". As well as to keep everyone whos bored with the game, something to do!

Actually where I've been farming Ive been getting about 80% gold chests. I suggest you guys stop farming Melrandrus Hope (which everyone else has farmed to death for at least a month) and go somewhere else

.

I'm just guessing of course, but from the sound of the drops and screens...

what ive noticed is that nahpui chests have usually dropped more golds....but they are always almost all less then max damage, or have crazy high req. but i got a nice gold celest shield req. 8 tactics max armor...a shame it also has +9 pruning... -.-

Went through ~35 keys already.

At the beginning I was getting 4/5 Gold Ratio...Now its more like 2or3/5 at best (Guess everyone is starting up chest runs so its going to crap already).

What I've came out with that was worth anything:
2 +5 Insightful Heads (their selling at 1.5-2k now..)
3 Rune Unlocks, worthless runes, but unlocks

Req9 Gothic Sword (tested, sucked, sold UNID)

Rest were Purple, or REALLY Crappy Golds. Selling the Worthless stuff, and the insightfuls and gothic made me alittle profit though (basically just better than breaking even).

What do you mean tested? You can test UNided and see what the dmg mod on it is? Care to explain?

Thats what I mean...

Equip the weapon, and the mods are active, even if its UNID.

So put it on, and you see the Health changes, you can hit stuff to see dmg mod, and so on..

20 keys, looted 7 golds, rest purple, mostly wands etc.. all worthless with trash stats. One was even a celestial staff, odd combo, worthless stats. So , for me as far as today, waste of time. I was not even doing key runs, I fought my way thru each area, cleaned it out then used keys. Guildies reporting same thing. Most said they were done buying keys and taking a break over the weekend and not playing.

Not mad, a lil dissapointed, just reporting back.

okay, 11/12 keys were gold. A total of 5 Amber Wands (Goodbye Mourning Veil Falls), 3 Paper Fans, a runic axe, a Warden Vestements (Sup Death Magic), and a Divine Scroll.

Nothing good. Last night was more profitable. The only reason I am spending this much on keys is that I have NO desire whatsoever for 15k armor. *sigh*

yay i got about 30 wands..havent played this game in like 4weeks cameback because of the event...love my luck in this retarded game. i play alot and dont get anything but then my friend who plays like once every two months gets like 5 15^50 req8 celestial swords

Ah, I was doing some Luxon quests and got 4 out 5 gold chests. All crap aside from 1 Zealous Archaic Axe of Warding...comes with a +5 energy to boot and a req 8.

Spent around 20 keys. Got 15 gold.
5 daggers. +29 health, +30 Heath One max with 15^50 Acurate Dagger 20+ Daggery Mastery
+28 health staff (sold unided not sure if it was wrap or head)
+29 health wrap
+5 ^ 50 wand with 10% faster casting general
Zealous 15^50 one point off max Celestal Longbow of Fortitude +30 Health
Poisonous 19 under 50 point off max Celestal Longbow of Defense

Nothing real great for selling. Sold 4 caster items unided after testing. Got a good purple offhand I can use for my farming build. A few bows with just close enough off perfect stats that are good enough to use but have no resale value (good to customize and then salvage latter for mods if I find a better one latter).
